Job Description


The SDET candidate will lead the development of an automated test framework for a high profile, mission critical, internationally-deployed software application. A successful candidate will work with other software developers and testers across multiple scrum teams to develop a test strategy, design application test harnesses, improve the continuous integration build process, track defects, and ensure that QA goals are met. The candidate will manage the QA test automation effort and mentor more junior team members so that industry best practices and tools can be leveraged throughout the program.

Job Responsibilities

• Build an automated test framework for web, middleware, and database backend system components
• Write and debug automated functional and integration tests
• Create QA dashboards that monitor continuous integration QA metrics
• Decompose business requirements into Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria
• Participate in Daily Stand-Up and Sprint Planning meetings


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree plus 4 years of related work experience. Work experience can be used in lieu of degree
• Minimum 3+ years of experience writing automated tests in Java using Selenium WebDriver
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Java, J2EE technologies, and object-oriented programming
• Experience using Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, or other continuous integration build tools
• Familiarity with Linux and basic shell scripting
• Ability to perform basic SQL operations
• Familiarity with JavaScript, XML, JSON, and REST web services
• Ability to use SVN, JIRA, Confluence, and Crucible or similar software project management tools
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Must be a highly motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to apply strong analytical and engineering problem solving skills in a fast-paced software development environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency applying TDD, ATDD/BDD software development paradigms
• Experience with application performance/load testing
• Experience using Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, or other test frameworks
• Familiarity with Groovy, GIT, SoapUI, and Postman
• Experience with AWS
