Job Description


The Defense and Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Windows and Linux System Administration Lead at Ft. Meade, MD.


The Senior Windows and Linux System Administrator/Engineer is needed to provide technical leadership in system administration and operational support for the DISA Storefront system. The lead will need a proactive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to integrate into an existing technical team.


•Lead team responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware. Duties may include updating new systems, as well as supporting current systems by conducting tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches.

•Lead team in Operations and Maintenance support of Development, Test, and Production Environments including:

•System administration for RedHat Linux and Windows Server 2008

•Database Administration (Oracle, Datastax Cassandra)

•Application administration of Kinetic Data

•Automation of system tasks using Bash or Python for scripting

•Maintenance of system availability and performance

•User account management and user access controls.

•Lead Authorized Service Interruption events

•Lead Tier III system troubleshooting and problem resolution



•Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 12+ years of overall related experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.

•Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE.

•Experience with RHEL and Windows Server 2008

•Experience with Oracle

•Experience applying DoD STIG requirements

•Currently possess an active Secret clearance with SSBI or Top Secret security clearance.


•Experience with MilCloud and DECC hosting environments

•Experience with Kinetic Data

•Experience with Datastax Cassandra
