Job Description


Seeking an IT Lab Engineer to support the Leidos portfolio of Transportation Programs primarily in the area of Air Traffic Management. The work scope focuses on providing software and hardware installation and repairs to the Software Development, Integration and Test labs. At a minimum, the Lab Engineer shall have the following skill/experience level:

a) Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas

b) Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems

c) Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions

d) Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format

e) Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions

f) Good communication and interpersonal skills

Additionally, the following skills/experiences are preferred:

a) Knowledge of IT computer laboratory configurations including rack elevations and wiring list.

b) Problem determination across a spectrum of IT devices. End to end IT device repair including software/firmware installation and configuration.

c) Network devices including storage

d) LINUX and AIX/UNIX administration

f) CAT5E cable terminating



- Experience with electronic, mechanical or optical areas.

- Experience calibrating, troubleshooting and testing devices amp; systems.

- Experience creating engineering drawings.

EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or HS equivalent with 5 or more years of relevant experience can be substituted.
