Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Leidos portfolio of Transportation Programs primarily in the area of Air Traffic Management.
We are seeking a college graduate (Computer/System Engineering or Mathematics degree preferred) to support the System Engineering domain for Air Traffic Management.
The candidate will be responsible for learning existing/legacy system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the design of the new capabilities and enhancements.
The candidate will delve into and engage across multiple System Engineering domains (Infrastructure and Applications) with a focus on analytics, system functionality and customer satisfaction as the architecture evolves and matures over the software development lifecycle.
The successful candidate will participate in wide-ranging engineering activities from the initial Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to requirements analysis, solution development, verification and validation as well as deployment.
The candidate must have a good academic understanding and/or exposure to system engineering practices to contribute to and/or assist with system architecture, system concept development, requirements engineering, operational and decision analysis, systems definition, system risk management, requirements baseline control and management.
The candidate will be expected to provide ROM assessments for engineering work products. The candidate will be expected to author and/or contribute to the development of technical SE work products, such as engineering white papers, enhancement descriptions, functional description narratives (FDNs) and system engineering documents.
The candidate will also support system functionality change requests (CRs), problem reports (PRs) and be able to support test and requirement verification amp; validation teamsQualifications:
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE: BS degree in Eng or Comp Sci. Basic working knowledge of LINUX or UNIX. Shell scripting or programming, Cloud/AWS, Virtualization experience preferred. Leidos Overview:
