The Security and Transportation Technology Group currently has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Intern.
We are interested in a student who is motivated to learn and gain experience in an engineering environment. Successful candidate will receive hands-on experience and mentoring by Managers, CAD Designers and Engineers. Candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in support of technical or administrative assignments using established procedures. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: Bill Of Material creation, engineering drawing change incorporation, electronic circuit debugging and component research.
Interacts daily with supervisor and various departments on location. Will participate in a variety of meetings and activities designed to expose the individual to Leidos corporate culture. The intern will prepare and present a formal presentation outlining their summer accomplishments to management.
Position is 40 hours per week through the summer.
Must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program at an accredited college or university and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Individual must possess strong self-initiative, interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen, and be able to successfully pass a U.S. Treasury background investigation (BI) and obtain required clearance. Also, must be able to obtain a Security Clearance from other federal government agencies, including TSA.
