Leidos is currently looking for a Quality Control Software Tester to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. The Tester will be writing and executing detailed test plans and scripts, for innovative, high-performing cloud-based systems and applications, including mobile and desktop access, across the presentation, business or application, and data tiers. Will document the system test results, defect tracking, and analyzing test results. Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports which verify and validate functional and non-functional system requirements. Track multiple test executions simultaneously and follow up on results. Will create and use data residing in multiple databases including SQL Server, NoSQL, XML, and others, and tuning queries.
The Tester will ensure the program performance meets service level agreements, with proper change management and configuration management. This is an Agile release environment across multiple, competing priorities, and tight deadlines, from project managers and client. The Tester will be maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and enhancement of software. Awareness with automating test scripts, including use of test automation Frameworks such as Selenium, and collaborating with development engineers to devise automation strategies, test strategies and test cases. Will assist the Project Manager in identification of risks, risk management and risk mitigation strategies to ensure a successfully tested application. In addition, will facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders. Qualifications:
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE: Requires BS degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters Degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Must have the following experience:
Two years writing and executing test planning and test case, UAT, System Testing, regression testing, backend testing, and stress testing.
Two or more years of experience with Selenium or other similar test automation tools.
Experience with testing approaches and concepts, quality management, testing tools, software configuration mgmt, version and change control procedures, issues management, and requirements analysis and documentation.
Experience with data testing, Business Intelligence, writing SQL queries and validating large quantity of data, and testing NoSQL and/or Couchbase system. Leidos Overview:
