Leidos has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to work at Nellis AFB. Candidates must already possess a current Secret clearance in order to be considered. Applicant will perform a wide range of high-level executive administrative services in support of Air Force Squadron-level unit senior leaders located at Nellis AFB NV. Applicant will use multiple office automation software types with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets across multiple security domains. Applicant will prepare a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources. Review and process incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, and other materials submitted to unit senior leaders. Screen all incoming mail to identify what needs to be brought to the attention of the unit commander, referred to appropriate staff, rerouted to other organizations/offices, or handled personally. Receive telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits. Maintain senior leader calendars, making appointments and coordinating meeting arrangements, schedules meeting and/or conferences including those involving staff from outside the immediate office based on a personal knowledge of his/her schedule and current issues. Perform other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization such as independently making travel arrangements, such as scheduling transportation, billeting/hotels, rental cars, making reservations, and preparing travel orders and vouchers based on general travel intentions, known preferences of the commander, and in accordance with appropriate travel regulations. Develop guidance to aid subordinates units in completing actions by providing policy and procedural guidance on administrative matters to Squadron staff offices and subordinate units.
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE: Must be proficient in MS Office Professional suite of software and MS Windows v7.0 or newer version. Capable of working independently and collaborating with different, multi-faceted unit offices and external organizations. 4 years prior relevant experience required. Bachelor's degree desired. Applicants must currently possess a US SECRET clearance and be capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance.
