Leidos has an opening for a Software Engineer to support the MCC21 software maintenance at JSC in Houston, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop and maintain the Mission Control Center (MCC21) Common Services subsystem that encompasses the Distribution Bus, Operational History and User Experience Software. The applicant will require full software lifecycle knowledge using engineering and programming skills. The applicant will work in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for software design, implementation, testing, and user support after the release of the software. Applicant will work closely with the user community and therefore, must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Strong initiative, teamwork, and problem solving skills are required. Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field. Software development experience using C++ or Java with Unix or Linux skills.
Candidate must have some familiarity with supporting software development projects. The candidate must have some software development experience using C++ or Java programming. UNIX or Linux skills are required. Must possess good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setup. Object Oriented programming skills are required.
