Job Description

The Defense amp; Intelligence Group of Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the conference center under the Information Technology Enterprise Management Contract within the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.Responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.• Responsible for Planning, scheduling and controlling the movement of IOS and Application builds and update releases to Test and Live Environments.• Ensure that the integrity of the Live Environment is protected and that the correct Components are released. Ensure that backout procedures restore system baseline successfully and within time constraints.• Ensure proper change and configuration management processes are followed; helps to document infrastructure baselines and change requests• Regularly identifies risks, issues and concerns and offers mitigation plans• Working knowledge of COTS integration, customization and deployment technologies, especially SCCM architecture, Windows and Linux Enterprise patching, Database upgrades; hardware installation and upgrades, especially filers, printers, network layer• Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.• Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.• Typically responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff.• Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses, technical knowledge and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.• Communicates with stakeholders: customers, internal and client project teams, site infrastructure leads, SMEs and end-users• Engages stakeholders to obtain solution buy-in and satisfaction; drives solution to closure• Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas.

Analyzes cross-functional problem sets, identifies root causes and resolves issues. Assists more junior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities. Education/Min Years Experience: HS/GED -- 10 years experience, Associates -- 8 years experience, Bachelors -- 6 years experience, Masters -- 4 years experience, PhD -- 2 years experience
Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required
