The Defense and Intelligence Group at Leidos has an opening for a System Engineering/IT Manager at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support the U.S. Army Distributed Learning System (DLS) Deployed Digital Training Campus (DDTC) program. DDTC is a portable, Warrior Information Training System, which can be setup at any deployed Soldier location around the world.
The training campus is a completely self-contained system with 20 laptops, Internet and satellite accessibility.
The system can also provide video tele-training and it is designed for Soldiers to conduct structured self -development courses, advanced leader course phase one common core, correspondence courses, and any other program in the Army e-Learning catalog and the Army Learning Management System (ALMS).
The Systems Engineer/IT Manager shall have relevant experience in leading engineering activities related to requirements development, logistics analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, verification, validation, and transition. Responsible for implementing and maintaining Deployable Digital Training Campuses (DDTCs) for the U.S. Army.
Will guide daily operations for a small team consisting of System Administrators, Information Assurance and Network Engineers and interfaces with other functional disciplines.
Position provides technical direction and guidance for server, desktop, VTC, VOIP, and network operations.
This position requires interaction with other contractors and U.S. Government personnel.
Develops instructional documentation. Responsible for guiding Tier 2 Help Desk response for deployed systems.
Lifting up to 50 pounds is required for equipment movement and setup.
