The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services, amp; Support (SENS3) for the continued operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). This requirement was previously called Enterprise Networked Services Support (ENSS). Responsibilities include the design/configuration/implementation and support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) SECRET and TOP SECRET networks (850 sites) across the DHS Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private (DMVPN) Network.
The selected candidate will improve processes and procedures in areas such as configuring and testing Cisco routers and switches and other network devices. Implement network security/harden network equipment. Design test plans, configurations and procedures for WAN equipment. Test, evaluate and configure network equipment such as Cisco routers and switches, csu/dsu, frame and ATM datacryptors and secure dial-up modems for deployment. Provide instruction and training in Integration and test procedures. Oversee site installs of SECRET and TOP SECRET network architectures for DHS agencies to include CONUS and OCONUS locations. Make recommendations for process improvements for site installs, including instructing the deployment team on billing of materials equipment orders and site design based on site surveys. Network troubleshooting including working with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Internet Service Enterprise (ISE) on DHS WAN and document inconsistencies. Administer network management software. Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience performing network engineering, testing and deployment, application management, and/or desktop management using replication technologies;
- Experience with BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols, Layer-2/Layer3 switching, TCP/IP and DMVPN/HSRP.
- Experience in applying vendor/OEM patches and fixes using standard tools such as MS SC
- DHS experience
- Security+ certification
- MCSA or MCITP certification
- Knowledge/experience ITSM tools
- Experience in Agile development teams
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.Leidos Overview:
