Our Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) at Leidos is currently looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer in Albuquerque, NM. This is an exciting opportunity to work at government locations on Kirtland AFB, NM, interfacing with government and contractors to develop, establish, control, and document system requirements for directed energy systems.
The successful candidate will lead efforts to:- Develop Systems Engineering Plans for directed energy systems under development by the government. - Develop interface definitions and compliance.- Document, validate, and approve system-level functional and performance requirements and design constraints, their allocation or assignment to the next level, and all approved changes.- Assist in identifying and analyzing risks and opportunities.- Track risks using a “Risk Assessment amp; Tracking Tool”.- Identify, acquire, manage, maintain, and provide access to data.- Track and document verification efforts.- Develop WBS and IMS.- Coordinate with government and contractor personnel, lead meetings, and develop and present presentations.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below- BS degree and 6 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience or Masters with 4 years of prior relevant experience.- Current DoD Secret security clearance. - Expert systems engineering knowledge of, and ability to apply, advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration- Prior military experience.- Experience working on development of directed energy systems.
