Leidos is seeking an experienced Engineer who will support operations, maintenance, sustainment, modification and support activities for the COBRA DANE AN/FPS-108 radar located on Eareckson Air Station Shemya Island, Alaska. The contract award is expected in March 2018 with a April 2018 start. This position will be located in Shemya Island, AK with a notional rotational schedule of 8 weeks on and 5 weeks off island. Duties include conducting all on island engineering activities to ensure the COBRA DANE radar meets or exceeds operational, availability and dependability goals as well as coordination of depot and sustainment activities with the Lead Engineer in Colorado Springs. Primary Responsibilities
- Serves as the COBRA DANE on-site engineering lead for all engineering related tasking at the radar site. - Solves routine and non-routine problems; assesses radar performance, analyze data. - Coordinate activities with operations, maintenance and depot and sustainment groups and government customer to resolve performance issues, plan conduct depot maintenance activities (both planned and unplanned) and address radar sustainment challenges.
- Generate technical reports, recommend engineering solutions, coordinate with the PMO and government, and implement upon approval.

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. 5 years of radar/system engineering experience. Strong and effective communication skills. Experience working with Air Force Logistics Command. Must be able obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with COBRA DANE or other similar Air Force radars. Experience working on a large scale, geographically distributed program. Experience with solving challenging parts/system obsolesce and modernization efforts. Active DoD secret clearanceLeidos Overview:
