Job Description


Leidos has a career opening for a Network Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland.

Job Summary/Primary responsibilities:

-Manage, configure, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN) servers, virtual local area networks (VLANs), wide area network (WAN) connectivity and utilization, wireless connectivity, voice over internet protocol (VoIP) infrastructure, and related equipment (Cisco: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and their respective cabling).

-Adhere to and enhance IT security policies by conducting and analyzing network security assessments.

-Administer centralized patch management, vulnerability scanning and remediation, intrusion detection and web threat protection, and centralized logging management.

-Oversee Band administer videoconferencing and Multiservice provision Platform (MSPP) solutions and conduct testing to ensure the proper quality of service.

-Monitor the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and ensures that all Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts, bulletins, and advisories are acknowledged and patches are applied to all enclave networks/systems in a timely manner.

-Complies and Implements Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation processes that identify architecture, requirements, objectives and policies for enclaves; IA personnel, processes and procedures.


Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and twelve to fifteen years of network engineering and administration of networks.

- Minimum of 5 Years’ experience as a network engineer administering CISCO environments.

-All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and possess an active Secret Government security clearance.

Required Certifications:

CCNP or Palo Alto certification
