Global Information Grid (GIG) Service Management-Operations (GSM-O), a Defense and Intelligence Group of Leidos, has an opening for a Network Engineer for JRSS Tier 2 at Scott AFB, IL.
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) located at Scott AFB, IL is partnering with the U.S. Army and Air Force to fundamentally change the way the Department of Defense (DoD) secures and protects its information networks by deploying Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS). Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS) are designed for security of the network to be centralized into regional architectures instead of locally distributed architectures at each military base, post, camp or station. This position directly supports the DISA-provided JRSS capabilities and services as a member of our Tier team. We work in a performance-based environment where our performance is based on pre-determined Service Level Agreements (SLA) or Acceptable Levels of Performance (ALP).
. Configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of routing protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF, OSPFv3.
. Configure of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and implementation of access control lists in different environments.
. Responsible for routing and switching (VPN, VLAN, BGP, and HSRP)
. Provide problem determination/resolution based upon personal experience, expert opinion and standard operating procedures, including immediate resolution where possible.
. Responsible for the configuration, performance, availability, and security of the JRSS network architecture.
. Identify and document network errors, propose solutions for network problems and work with appropriate personnel to achieve resolultion.
. Interface with users and support organizations to ensure smooth flow of communications in all directions.

EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors' degree in a relevant technical discipline and 4+ years' of overall related experience. 4+ years of additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
