PROGRAM SUMMARY:Perform all the duties required to support a Telecommunications Network Operations Center (NOC) for the DISA Hawaiian Network Services (HNS) voice network. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:•Maintain the integrity of the Hawaiian DISA Lucent 5ESS Telecommunication Network and related equipment. Network includes owned and leased elements as well as vendor provided equipment and services.•Utilize tools, systems, and applications, to monitor, test, troubleshoot and repair network elements. The tools, systems and applications include COMIT, Remedy, SPOK, Compunetix, Callware, Oracle/Tekelec, 5ESS performance monitoring software.•Participate in service turn up and repair calls. •Maintain troubleshooting systems and documentation. •Support interaction with third-party technology vendors and internal department staff. •This position is a shift position supporting a 24x7 NOC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor's degree and 2 + yrs of experience; equivalent job experience can be substituted for a degree. •Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level I certification within 6 months of start date. •Able to work in a shift work environment as we are a 24/7 operation.•Must have experience with Lucent 5ESS Switches. •Must be self-motivated and have ability to complete tasks with little supervision. •Strong Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members is required•Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:•Working knowledge of Tellabs STP (Signaling System 7 Signal Transfer points).
