Leidos Civil Exploration and Mission Support Group is seeking a college graduate (Computer/System/Software Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred) to support the software development/maintenance team on the International Space Station (ISS) program.
The candidate will be responsible for learning existing/legacy system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the design and implementation of new capabilities and enhancements.
The candidate will delve into and engage across multiple Software Engineering and System Engineering domains (Infrastructure and Applications) with a focus on software development, analytics, system functionality and customer satisfaction.
The candidate must have a good academic understanding and/or exposure to MS Windows and Linux environments in order to contribute to and/or assist with software development and maintenance, system architecture, and system concept development.
The candidate will be expected to develop code in an agile methodology and participate in all software development lifecycle activities.
The candidate will be expected to author and/or contribute to the development of software work products on the ISS Program. Programming knowledge/ experience in any of the following is highly desired: C/C++, PHP, Bash.
Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Tool, Virtual Machines, DNS/DHCP is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Excellent written/verbal skills with the ability to interpret and author well-formed documents.
Candidate must obtain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance, therefore US Citizenship is required.
