PROGRAM SUMMARY: The DevOps Engineer is needed to support upgrade, maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of software and infrastructure in support of the DISA Storefront system. The DevOps Engineer will work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results and project deliverables.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Automation of software testing, releases, infrastructure configuration, monitoring, and management to improve reliability, security, and produce faster, high quality software releases. •Responsibilities include tuning performance, optimizing storage allocation, and remediating critical security vulnerabilities. •Operations and Maintenance support of Development, Test, and Production Environments including: o System administration for RedHat Linux and Windows Server 2008 o Database Administration (Oracle, Datastax Cassandra) o Application administration of Kinetic Data o Automation of system tasks using Bash or Python for scripting o Maintenance of system availability and performance o User account management and user access controls •Support Authorized Service Interruption events. •Support system troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8+ years of prior related experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree. •Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE. •Experience developing system automation scripts. •Experience with RHEL and Windows Server 2008. •Experience with Oracle. •Experience applying DoD STIG requirements. •Currently possess an active Secret with SSBI or Top Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •Experience with MilCloud and DECC hosting environments. •Experience with Kinetic Data. •Experience with Datastax Cassandra. •Experience with test automation tools.
