The Defense amp; Intelligence Group of Leidos is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer for the Integrated Mission Solution Operation.The Senior Telecommunications Engineer studies, designs, engineers, constructs, installs, and coordinates telecommunications equipment, systems, and facilities; and performs engineering studies involving equipment, applications, or theoretical analyses of such engineering methodologies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for multiple teams engaged in the technical design and engineering functions related to telecommunication, • Provide technical support to the customer in the establishment of sound and consistent processes related to making telecommunications decisions, • Implement customer-approved architecture and standards, managing overall voice, data, and visual communications assets (e.g., massive data processing infrastructure, applications and system software, secure communications networks, and telecommunications support resources)• Perform analyses, evaluations, tests, reviews, studies, as required, and document and assist in all efforts associated with engineering/configuration support and documentation on various telecommunications systems, such as on Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret (TS) networks
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors of Science/Engineering degree in Electrical, Physics, or Engineering Technology with course work equivalent to a BSSE program.• A minimum of six years of experience managing complex projects of a similar size, scope, and complexity to Section C requirements.• Three years as a Senior Telecommunications Engineer.• Three years planning and executing local and long-haul communications Current TS/SCI clearance• Strong communication skills; ability to write and brief to senior managers
