POSITION/PROGRAM SUMMARY:The AIMES team is looking for local college interns to be placed across multiple internal initiatives. Positions focus around various areas of the network operations support functions including: Performing functional analysis of data and network design Translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Performing network design data entry and cleanup tasks. Performing documentation and metric collections for government and internal delivery. Emphasis on technical writing skills along with a working knowledge of networking concepts. Performing internal project planning focusing on the ability to develop logical plans to solve problems based on requirements. Development of software and network scripts in support of software test automation (Python, Java, C++).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:-Perform Data Entry tasks and run appropriate queries and utilize pivot tables to display, perform analysis, and assess trends. -Interact with developers and other system teams when responding to internal tasking. -Familiarization with IT and Computer networking concepts. Ability to quickly learn software tools: Ranorex, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket.-Support the tasks necessary to transition from a manual testing organization to an automated testing organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:-Actively pursuing a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or similar degree, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.Experience designing with software/programming languages.-Good communication skills.-Familiar with object oriented programming concepts.-Basic database knowledge (SQL, Oracle).-Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.-US Citizenship is required for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:-Familiarity with Java script.-Familiarity with VB, .net or C#.-Source control knowledge (Git, SVN).-Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
