The System Administrator will be a member of the NMIC Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) team and will serve as the System Administrator for the Maritime Intelligence Environment (MIE) Systems Support Task.
An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this role. All work is in Suitland, MD.
Install new and rebuild existing servers, and configure hardware, peripherals and services, settings and storage in accordance with standards and project requirements.
Assure daily backup operations complete successfully and all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
Performing performance optimization, developing, proposing and executing (upon approval) innovative updates to enhance functionality and efficiency
Identifying and resolving production problems, and providing timely follow-up on reported problems.
Resolving moderately complex customer issues integrating several technologies, ensuring service availability, and handling quality, outage management, subscription management and correlation of usage and charges.
Interpreting and maintaining system documentation.Review system logs assuring optimal performance.
Assist with design, development, deployment, testing, security accreditation and full transition of additional, emergent or emergency requirements when appropriate

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: ("must have” requirements to be considered for hire)
*AA/AS or CNSSI 4011 Certificate or military training (NEC 2790 or 2730 or 9225 or 9229 or 9298 or CYBR1005), addtl experience may be considered in lieu of degree
*Active TS/SCI clearance
*CompTIA A+, Network+ or SSCP industry certification (or education)
*3+ years of experience in Information Systems with specific focus on application administration
*1+ years of experience with systems administration in a Linux environment including shell script development and debugging
*Experience with systems administration on Windows 2008, 2012 and/or 2016 server
*Technical experience/knowledge of installation, configuration, and security of server environment
