Job Description

Security Clearance: TS/SCI Fort Belvoir, VA CENTRA Technology, Inc. has an immediate opening for Electromagnetic Protection Specialist Responsible for coordinating with the Government Task Lead by providing technical advice and guidance. Primary duties include: Perform EMP analysis that applies across all segments of site operations for a given mission; identify all aspects of EMP-related issues and providing recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities. Specific EMP analysis is focused on the broad radio frequency (RF) spectrum, where a threat could be directed through any of the following electromagnetic (EM) pathways to affect human or automated information-based processes: electrical power systems, building, lightning, and equipment grounding to include tempest accreditation; adequately secured and non-secured communications systems; and computer-based information systems Bachelor of Science degree in scientific discipline or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years operational experience in the military or other comparable civilian position with focus on Electromagnetic Effects. Competency in Electromagnetic Phenomenology and associated Technologies. Experience in addressing EM protection as it applies across a broad RF spectrum from threats from external or internal sources that could potentially affect human or automated information- based processes. Understanding of vulnerability assessment fundamentals and principles. Familiarity with DoD survivability assessments and mission assurance guidance. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge and understanding of Antiterrorism Force Protection Program and surveillance procedures against US personnel if deployed in an overseas environment and of foreign Intelligence Collection against US Personnel. Willing to accept worldwide deployments which include high threat permissive areas presenting some risks to personal safety. Be capable of operating in all operational and physical environments and work closely with USG military, US Department of State and/or civilian personnel MS/PhD degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering. Experience working as a Licensed Professional Engineer. Experience conducting vulnerability-based assessments Willingness to travel.
