Job Description

Security Clearance: Top Secret Washington DC / Arlington VA Area CENTRA is currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic individuals to support government program managers in formulating, monitoring, and transitioning advanced research and development programs to the U.S. military. Current opportunities are available to support cutting-edge advanced aircraft, space, ground weapon system, and cyber programs within the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Applicants must possess superior oral and written communications skills. Candidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Travel is required. Desired areas of technical expertise include: Satellite systems and subsystems analysis, design, development, testing and integration (5+ years preferred) Aerospace software system development, test and verification (10+ years preferred) Air-breathing, hypersonic and hybrid propulsion (5+ years preferred) Avionics hardware design, development, testing, and integration (10+ years preferred) Aircraft design systems engineering (5+ years preferred) Aircraft systems testing and integration (10+ years preferred) Ground systems Maritime systems Information science and large-scale software testing and simulation environments Technical and management responsibilities may include: Providing technical support and subject matter expertise in monitoring the execution of advanced technology development and demonstration programs Performing independent technical assessments and feasibility analyses of new technologies and system designs Attending, monitoring, and reporting on system field testing and demonstrations Supporting technical interchange meetings and design reviews Developing and running simulation models Identifying and implementing new program concepts Providing program management and acquisition support Authoring program status briefings and technical reports Mid-Level: BS with 7 years of relevant experience or MS with 5 years of relevant experience US citizenship and Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI Ability to provide practical and creative solutions in a demanding work environment Ability to work in a dynamic team environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in commercial or defense-related technology research and/or development programs CENTRA Technology, Inc. provides analytic and systems engineering services to US Government and commercial customers.
