General Responsibilities: • Plan, design, execute, and evaluate public outreach strategies to inform and educate the general public, tribes, and stakeholders, such as potentially impacted communities, government officials, nongovernmental organizations, and civilian and military service members. • Write, edit, and review key messages, talking points, frequently asked questions and answers, newsletters, fact sheets, news releases, website contents
11-13 years w/High School Diploma 05-07 years w/Bachelors Degree 02-04 years w/Masters Degree / The candidate must have, at minimum, Bachelor’s degree in public affairs, communication, environmental science, or related discipline; a minimum of 10 years of experience; at least 5 years working public outreach efforts for the DoD is desired. Demonstrated ability to manage projects. Other Skills Required: This position requires demonstrated initiative, teamwork, sound judgment, effective decision-making, good customer relations abilities, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products.
