Job Description

USA, COLORADO, COLORADO, Springs Full-Time Security Clearance: Secret ManTech is seeking a AIX Systems Administrator to support a large and important TSA program critical to our nations safety. Apply best practices where possible or engineer new best practices as appropriate • Analyze new and existing vendor software; install, maintain, and customize vendor software as required. • Consult with end users to identify current operational procedures and clarify user objectives. • Monitor system and application performance to detect errors, apply testing procedures/methodologies (e.g., diagnostic software) and provide interpretation of data. • Provide a root-cause analysis for recurring or critical problem • Proficiency using personal computer and associated work station/computer-assisted tools, etc. • Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service 11-13 years w/High School Diploma 05-07 years w/Bachelors Degree 02-04 years w/Masters Degree / 5+ years of AIX systems administration (V5.3 and V6.1) experience • Experience with Power 7 architectures, Power VM, including LPAR, virtualization technology • NIM administration (Install and configure NIM server) • Red Hat Linux administration experience • IBM/Brocade SAN architecture (DS8000, Brocade DCX, SVC,v7000) • Experience working in a small team of technical staff • Working directly with the customer, at all levels • Experience managing multiple technical projects across the UNIX/AIX environment • Ability to track and report progress of multiple projects to upper management daily • Experience leading incident management calls, coordinating resources through resolution • Working knowledge of system security, system monitoring, disaster recovery planning, implementation, and backup and recovery • Ability to review logs, access issues and problems and take appropriate corrective action • Ability to assist in maintaining documentation reflecting the current operational environment • Experience with enterprise backup/restore architectures and concepts, including, but not limited to Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) • Experience writing and debugging shell scripts in a standard UNIX shell • Experience with AIX performance tuning and capacity planning • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills • Requires 24x7 on call support on a rotating basis Experience with NIM and satellite server • Experience with AIX/RHEL performance tuning and capacity planning • Experience with high availability architectures and concepts (possibly including, but not limited to, HACMP/PowerHA) • Experience with enterprise backup/restore architectures and concepts including TSM • IBM/Brocade SAN architecture (DS8000, Brocade DCX) ManTech International Corporation is comprised of approximately 7,300 talented employees who use advanced technology to help government and industry meet some of their greatest challenges around the world.
