Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform and support warfighting assessments and effectiveness analysis, advanced concept development and design, analytic support for the pre-acquisition, acquisition, and sustainment of Navy, Joint, and allied systems acquisition process, and modeling and simulations for operational analysis. - Provide technical management administration of a warfare analysis project. - Using modern and industry standard modeling and simulation techniques (Brawler, STORM and/or JICM), assist in the analytic screening of the toughest problems facing the Department of Defense. - Serve as a programmer/modeler employing a wide variety of technologies and disciplines that inform a variety of analyses, war games, exercises, and experiments. - Operate independently and collaboratively on assessments supporting capability trades, systems trades, force structure, and Service-specific studies. Required Skills and Experience: - Experience performing modeling and analysis using industry standard modeling and simulation systems, like Brawler, STORM and/or JICM. - Experience supporting a major, multi-faceted programs with industry standard modeling and simulation techniques, systems and programs. - Experience with design of experiments and using statistical software packages. Qualifications - TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED - Education: o Required: BS or BA in engineering, mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, or a related scientific discipline. o Desired: Master's Degree from an accredited university in Operations Research, Computer Science, or Mathematics - Experience: At least fifteen (8) years of experience in an engineering position, six (3) of which must be directly related to warfare analysis of defense systems. - Experience performing and/or building modeling and analysis using campaign simulations like Brawler, STORM and/or JICM. - Desired: Prior military experience.
