Security Clearance: Public Trust
Defense Health Agency DCoE ’s Office of the Chief Information Officer, or J6 organization oversees activities in IT Cyber-security, information systems operations, Enclave desktop support, Mobile technology services, Infrastructure services and information systems development and modernization. The mission of this project is to provide specialized technical expertise to support activities in the following area; security certification and accreditation, continuous monitoring of critical information systems and engineering support for data networks and telecommunications that span across the enterprise. · The 508 Analyst shall conduct assessments, ongoing audits, provide remediation and recommendations. Provide support to ensure webpages, documents and applications are compliant with all required Government standards. The 508 Analyst shall also be responsible for continuously improving and updating Section 508 compliances processes and training team members on how to implement and test web pages and applications for Section 508 compliance. The 508 Analyst shall provide Section 508 compliance analysis for the following functions: · Develop and document internal processes for web design, development, and testing to ensure compliance with Section 508 requirements · Creating PDF, DOC, Word, PowerPoint and email based 508 compliant artifacts · Work closely with the US Army Medical Research and Material Command (MRMC) Section 508 Coordinator to ensure that all reported Section 508 issues are remediated · Identifies, records, and helps manage specific 508 defects to resolution · Conduct in-depth Section 508 assessments via manual reviews and using automated test tools and assistive technologies (i.e., JAWS, WAVE, Windows-Eyes, AMP, etc.) · Prepare reports concerning failures in Section 508 compliance and ways to remediate · Review Section 508 compliance defects with developers and discuss possible resolutions · Monitor resolution of Section 508 compliance violations · Provide expert advice to other teams testing web pages and applications for Section 508 compliance · Assist project teams with understanding how Section 508 and accessibility activities fit within the project life cycles · Partner with project leads and requirements analysts to help them appropriately document and deliver against requirements for Section 508 compliance · Stay current on the latest Section 508 testing and automated tool information · Familiarity with Content Management Systems, including Drupal Some travel to the client sites may be required
02-04 years w/Bachelors Degree / Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related work experience.
