Job Description:The Manager of QA Engineering for the SM-3 Block IIA Cooperative Product Development will be based in Nagoya, Japan and is responsible for successfully integrating Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) as an RMS supplier into production and managing quality requirements across their supply chain throughout the full product lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties that directly impact technical, cost, and schedule performance of the program. Required Skills: · Minimum 10 years professional experience in Quality, Engineering, Operations and/or Supply Chain· Experience working with International Suppliers· An understanding of Japanese culture, in both social and business settings · Demonstrated ability to lead teams and change management activities to drive performance improvement· Experience working with others whose primary language is not English· Experience with production and development programs· Understanding of ITAR/EAR requirements and compliance· Must be able to obtain a DoD issued Secret Security ClearanceDesired Skills: · Ability to understand, verbal and written Japanese· Knowledge/experience with MDA requirements· Experience with Statistical Process Control and data analysis· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Currently hold a DoD issued clearanceRequired Education (including Major): · BS degree Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. Advanced degree desired.This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
