|Opportunities currently exist for an experienced MMIC Design Engineer to join our fast paced Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) development organization as a mmW/Microwave MMIC Principal or Senior Principal Engineer. The full-time employee will work as a team leader in developing Raytheon’s state of the art MMIC products. He or she will be challenged with a variety of assignments that may include mmW and microwave MMIC design, test and evaluation, MMIC Layout, MMIC documentation, semiconductor device testing, and/or program technical lead. |
In this role, the successful candidate is expected to have the following attributes:
Knowledge: Viewed as an expert in the MMIC design area. Must exhibit a high degree of ingenuity and resourcefulness. Develops advanced technologies and concepts.
Problem Solving: Develops information that extends knowledge in the MMIC design field. Information may form the basis of new concepts, theories, and products.
Discretion: Acts independently to uncover and resolve issues. Plans R&D programs to accomplish long-range objectives.
Impact: Designs research and develops advanced new technology resulting in new product/business opportunities for Raytheon
Liaison: Serves as consultant to program management and key spokesperson on MMIC design solutions. Helps to attract and win new program business.
- 8+ Years MMIC/MIC microwave design and test experience
- Proficiency in Circuit Simulation tool ADS and in EM tools such as HFSS, Momentum, Sonnet
- Demonstrated leadership in multiple MMIC design efforts
- GaN or GaAs Power Amplifier design experience
- mm-Wave Design and Test experience
- Broad mmW/Microwave knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Customer focus and collaboration skills
- Experience in writing proposals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possess previous experience with a defense contractor and/or government agency.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related engineering curriculum
