Job description: Software development, integration, testing and evaluation in support of solving advanced problems in various aspects of distributed systems. Support a team of researchers and work independently. The research group does work in cyber security; adaptive systems of various forms ranging from android based tactical applications to enterprise/cloud applications and services; individual or swarm of cyber physical systems including unmanned drones and rovers; AI, planning, learning technologies and their application; and operating system, programming languages and virtualization techniques. The incumbent is expected to support one or more such projects.
Required skills: Java and/or C/C++ software development (programming, software design, Linux and/windows development environment, shells and ability to write script, understanding of networking, distributed systems, security and performance issues), Problem solving, Inquisitiveness, and Commitment to quality.
Required education: M.S. in Computer Science or related technical field with 0-2 years of experience or Bachelors in Computer Science and 2+ years of direct experience.
Desired education: Candidates with a strong background and strong formal CS training preferred as opposed to candidates. Candidates with thesis or project work in security or systems area preferred.
