Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Sr. Cyber Systems Engineer Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will implement and conduct all engineering activities in accordance with the organization's program management and other relevant approved processes. A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to: • Test, and integrate new security products as directed by customer. • Integration of security products, including designs for all networks. • Use of Nessus and other scanning software for assessment and recommendations. • Tier III support of current infrastructure. • Examples of the product/project areas are the installation, configuration and deployment of: Nessus and other scanning software and tools. • For other projects that are less demanding, one engineer may cover multiple products or projects based on agreed upon schedules with the customer. • Maintain system baselines and configuration management items, including security event monitoring "policies" in a manner determined and agreed to by the customer management. • Ensure changes are made using an approval process agreed to in advance. • Provide engineering documentation and interaction with Analysts and O&M to ensure a complete and functioning system that meets requirements. • Ensure all capabilities are kept current, patched, and securely configured and management informed of status, working with O&M. Security Clearance Requirement: Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
10-12 years w/Bachelors Degree 07-09 years w/Masters Degree / Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or other closely related discipline or equivalent experience. • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in cyber security and vulnerability scanning using tools such as Nessus with emphasis in design, implementation, operations and maintenance of a variety of Windows Servers, Application and Database servers, relevant Network Security appliances and Endpoint Security products. Some Linux experience desired. • Good interpersonal, organizational, writing, communications, and briefing skills. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
