The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive national security information.

Description of Position

The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities for a highly motivated Logistics Services Officer in Fort Meade, MD, West Virginia, and in Hawaii. As a Logistics Services Officer you will be a valuable member of the Office of Logistics Services that provides a wide range of logistics services for the customer, that could entail a myriad of tasks from vehicle management to providing statistical data, data entry, answering routine queries, marketing an event or new service, leading people and/or projects, or addressing complex policy concerns within Logistics areas of responsibility.

As a Logistics Services Officer at NSA, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

- Perform receiving functions related to inbound shipments of materials received by the Agency, which includes unloading trucks, inspecting material for damage, reviewing paperwork, and in-checking materials.
- Perform primary warehouse functions that include: central receiving, long-term and short-term storage, pick-up and delivery service, packing and crating, forklift support, and miscellaneous services as required.
-Work outdoor Agency events, often including walking or standing for extended periods of time, and extended duty hours.
- Manage NSA property accountability process and centralized database. Provide guidance and assist Agency employees at all levels with the property process and oversee and report on the process within the parent Directorate/Field Site ensuring compliance with DoD and NSA property accountability regulations.
- Provide declassification/sanitization/destruction/recycling services and expertise for computers and electronic media.
- Provide disposal and reutilization services for all other Agency property at the end of its useful lifecycle.
- Manage Agency motor fleet to include all small passenger, and any other vehicles. Provide for purchase, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide support for all shipments, excess, and storage, and acknowledge all deliveries of accountable-property, and update information in the centralized database to maintain database integrity.
- Perform contracting activities, to include assignment as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COR/COTR).
- Perform statistical and graphical analysis on various aspects of resources management that could include the rate of execution of funding, size and cost, and success in obtaining appropriations for new program requests.
- Provide superior customer service support to Agency customers.
- Perform on-the-spot troubleshooting and decision making.
- Develop and complete spreadsheets; monitor statistics and formulate them into spreadsheets.'
- Manage funding issues and personnel resources; administer all elements of multi-faceted programs; and serve as a technical consultant to Agency partners in areas related to logistics functions, are additional responsibilities may also be expected.'
- Serve as a first-line supervisor or team leader, to oversee, direct, guide, prioritize, and delegate work assignments; and formally evaluate subordinate performance, as required.

Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following is desired:

General knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, transportation

Readiness to perform any of the logistics responsibilities as determined upon final job offer.
Ability or readiness to lead people and projects.
Advanced knowledge of food service consulting, design, operations, and equipment, and ability to effectively communicate/collaborate with management, architects, engineers, and vendor partners.
Warehouse duties to include sorting and moving materials, loading and unloading of materials and equipment
Inventory management.
Forklift (Power Industrial Trucks) certification.
Inventory of property and equipment.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time

Qualifications

Salary Range: $68,036 - $106,012 (Full Performance) (NSA Fort Meade)
Salary Range: $61,218 - $95,388 (Full Performance) (West Virginia)
Salary Range: $62,841 - $97,918 (Full Performance) (NSA Hawaii)

Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered.

Degree in a Logistics related field (e.g., Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Property, Cargo, Inventory Management, Transportation, Travel, Process Engineering, and Industrial Engineering) is preferred.

Relevant experience must be working in a logistics environment (e.g., purchasing, supply chain management, property, inventory management, and transportation/travel).


Salary Range: $96,970 - $148,967 (Senior) (NSA Fort Meade)
SalaryRange: $87,252 - $134,038 (Senior) (West Virginia)
Salary Range: $89,566 - $137,593 (Senior) (NSA Hawaii)
