Job Description ManTech is seeking a seasoned business development professional for our Department of Homeland Security portfolio. DHS is a major customer focus for this position, but the position will also address other Civilian Agency customers. This position will work closely with the appropriate ManTech business programs to provide strategic direction and leadership; support qualification of new business opportunities; develop creative and innovative capture strategies; and assist in the preparation of winning proposals for our government clients. This highly visible position will work with the most senior managers across ManTech to develop strategy and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will understand the mission and vision of the DHS, particularly its CBP, CIS, TSA, and S&T components. The ideal candidate must be able to leverage a deep mission understanding of customers’ needs and objectives in the areas of Enterprise IT, Network Operations & Maintenance, Information Technology Infrastructure Advanced Technology, as well as Engineering, Professional, and Training Solutions. Responsibilities include market analysis, strategic business planning, and detailed qualification of procurement opportunities, leading to award of major programs. The position will include oversight of customer contact and positioning, teaming interactions, and coordination with other internal business development and sales resources available across ManTech. Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking, as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance based contracting is key. Familiarity with major acquisition vehicles is essential. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Prior DHS business development experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with former government service. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and lead/execute disciplined pursuit and proposal efforts for large and/or complex captures. The candidate must be an organized, aggressive, and highly-skilled professional with proven success in selling in a highly competitive IT and professional service markets to federal clients. It is preferable that the candidate has held a lead role in a government IT and professional services sales organization. 10-12 years w/Bachelors Degree / Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field and ten to twelve years of experience.
