USA, VIRGINIA, King George Full-Time Security Clearance: Secret Description: SPY Radar Engineer position supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on the Navy’s Aegis program in Dahlgren, Va. Specifically the position involves performance of the following tasks: • Primary focus will be in the area of Aegis SPY radar • SPY radar analyst to include the assessment of weapon specification requirements • Supports analysis of data, CPCRs and TORs. • Operates RSC at land-based test site. Makes an assessment of SPY program functionality and associated AWS and Non-AWS interfaces • Support shipboard and at-sea test events • SPY engineer with solid background in radar theory and RSC operations • Must understand CIC operations and be able to articulate system capabilities and limitations based on fleet operations. Must be able to make an assessment of SPY and system performance based on SPY and RSC functionality. • Provide written and verbal technical evaluations of capabilities and limitations • Support element and system level testing at land based site and ships • Must be able to work independently with minimal oversite. • Must be able to work in dynamic, fast paced environment • Attend various review and status meetings • Support software testing events(land based and shipboard) • Travel is required in the continental United States and ports located outside of CONUS • Must be fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, & Adobe Acrobat • Standard business work hours – with the exception of travel related tasking 02-04 years w/Bachelors Degree / Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
