Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Security Specialist Investigator to join our team in the Springfield, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our internal organization and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Collect, investigate, research, document, and forward to adjudications, all reportable information from employees and contractors, and information received through automated records checks (ARC) and the continuous evaluation program (CEP) within mandated timelines. • Complete processing of all security reportable events in accordance with government timelines. • Document, file, and maintain all actions in the PeopleSoft security system of record. • Prepare accurate and quality reports of investigation. • Process quality applicant and employee background investigation initiations within mandated timelines. • Submit appropriate documentation to applicable databases to complete the National Agency Checks in required timelines. • Identify any outstanding actions on a weekly basis to the Team Lead. • Process contractor electronic crossover nominations in accordance with intelligence community directives and guidelines. Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within related field • Three to ten years of experience as a Background Investigator, Personnel Security Specialist or TS/SCI adjudicative experience • Experience collecting, investigating, researching and documenting security background information • Proven ability to meet mandated reporting timelines in accordance with security directives and guidelines • Knowledge of or experience with PeopleSoft • Demonstrated skills developing and submitting quality security documentation using MS Office Suite and applicable databases • Experience using applicable databases to complete National Agency Checks • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Able to work effectively with minimal direction • Excellent customer service skills Security Requirements: An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required See Qualifications / Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and three to ten years of related experience.
