JOB DESCRIPTION: Raytheon IIS is seeking a Manager II Engineering to lead a team of field engineers, providing system administration, network, software and mission support to an integrated array of systems within DCGS. Interface with customers and co-contractors on a daily basis to identify, troubleshoot and correct system problems. Debug SW problems and communicate corrective actions to various locations and site personnel. Analyze system performance and make recommendations on system improvements. Install and checkout system upgrades delivered by Raytheon or third-party vendors.
REQUIRED SKILLS: This position requires experience with large scale system maintenance, troubleshooting and support. Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required: Solaris 10/Solaris 11 System Administration for SUN Servers and Workstations, UNIX/shell scripting, VMware, RADAR system operation & maintenance, and/or Oracle Weblogic. Existing CompTia Security+ Continuing Education. Prepare contract data requirements list (CDRL) documents and other artifacts deliverable to customer (e.g., certificate of service, staffing plan, daily reports, weekly reports, and technical presentations).Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers and contribute to the technical work products throughout the entire software life cycle.Collaborate with other engineering discipline leads and Raytheon program office to maintain and grow the business.Influence without authority (e.g., co-workers, sub-contractors, customers).Manage shift schedule for approx. 10-12 coworkers.Evaluate performance of section members and ensure on-time completion of required tasks, including training and administrative requirements.Facilitate career development of team members and conduct meaningful performance development discussions.DESIRED SKILLS: Experience leading a team of IT professionals/engineers; experience working with Raytheon program office and AF DCGS customers; SAR sensor knowledge; familiarity with GEOINT systems/intelligence gathering, processing, analysis and dissemination; Linux and/or Windows server administration; familiarity with compiled programming languages, such as C/C++; network troubleshooting (Ethernet routers/switches/bridges, ATM); prior domain DCGS experience; information security and assurance experience; military experience or knowledge of U.S. military rank structure, customs and courtesies, etc.; and DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (i.e., CISSP).
SECURITY CLEARENCE: EXISTING TS/SCI IS REQUIRED.
WORK SCHEDULE: Varies; requires availability for overtime, weekend work, night-shift, non-standard work week and extended shifts.
TRAVEL: Some travel may be required to support other locations during surge activities, installs or upgrades. Travel to OCONUS location(s) may be possible or required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management of information systems or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience OR 16+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
