Job Description

We have an immediate need for a Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) professional, to lead expert level projects and deliver on operational goals for the R6S program. This role will allow you to have a direct impact on the following:

  • Drive/Deliver tangible high impact results at the business level
  • Interface with Director / Vice President levels in the Company
  • Increase network in Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) and Corporate and other Raytheon businesses
  • Finesse analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills
NOTE: This position can be a Salary Grade G10 or Salary Grade G11 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Job Description:
Shape the IDS R6S strategy for business impact in concert with the Enterprise and Business Strategy. Execute IDS level R6S projects to support key program Risks and Opportunities. Deliver on R6S operational goals/metrics:

  • Financial/non-financial impact of R6S
  • Qualification of Experts, Principal Specialists and Specialists
This role involves coaching and mentoring for Specialists and Experts in Training (EiT). In addition, leading village coaching sessions for Experts in Training. Has input into talent management and development for EiTs.

  1. Lead Expert projects
Lead a cross functional team to deliver high impact business level six sigma/continuous/change management projects aligned to “must do” business imperatives.

  1. R6S Expert Development Management
Assist the R6S Director in the annual selection of new Experts, achieving development qualifications and preparing Experts in Training for Certification. These duties include creating and executing Expert selection boards, tracking and monitoring the development process utilizing the RExpert tool and acting as the coach liaison for Experts in Training to achieve certification.

  1. Specialist and Principal Specialist Qualification Management
Provide the planning, tracking, analysis and execution to achieve the IDS Specialist Qualification goal of >95% including IDS Principal Specialist goals. This will require collaboration with R6S Leadership, IDS Leadership and engagement with R6S Corporate Leadership, as well as coordination among all IBTs/CBTs and international sites with annual forecasting, training and establishing Specialist awards budgets and expenditures.

  1. Brand Ambassador and Communications
Along with the Director, and as part of the R6S strategy, the role helps manage communication and branding for Six Sigma interfacing with Corporate Communications.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in process improvement and project management
  • Senior Stakeholder management skills
Experience performing analytics with databases and utilizing MS office tool suite of Excel and MS Project
