Job Description

Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Manager I Facilities Engineering position. This position reports to the Facilities Engineering & Planning Manager and participates in planning, engineering, construction, rearrangement and maintenance of structures/buildings (370K sq ft) & grounds.

Job Description:

  • Provide project management for infrastructure projects
  • Define customer requirements
  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs
  • Participates in capital funding process and develops cost/affordability analysis
  • Develops Request for Proposals (RFP's)
  • Develops Statements of Work (SOW's)
  • Coordinates with architectural & engineering firms to develop design criteria and detailed construction drawings
  • Interface with federal, state & local government officials and contractors throughout project execution
  • Direct inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications and schedules
  • Monitor installation costs against project budget;
  • Update site AutoCAD drawings
  • Perform project closure activities

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience in a project management role with solid planning and scheduling.
  • Experience in development of a risk management plan
  • Ability toperform complex technical analysis
  • Demonstrated financial management experience
  • Possess organization and time management skills; ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner, with a strong attention to details.

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to lead multi-discipline teams, analyze problems, propose solutions, drive issues to resolution, and make decisions, both individually and when leading a group to reach a conclusion.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DOD and SCI Physical Security practices

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural) or Facilities Management/Construction or related discipline
