Job Description

Raytheon IIS is currently seeking a Network Administrator to join the Air Operations Center (AOC) team as a Fielding Representative. The successful candidate will be Network/Infrastructure expert providing support and assistance with installing, configuring, maintaining & sustaining the changes to the AOC Baseline. The candidate should have detailed knowledge and experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of relevant components in the AOC environment; to include, but not limited to, CISCO Unified Computing Solution (UCS), router & switches, McAfee Sidewinder Firewall Enterprise, Solar Winds, Secure Access Control System (ACS), and other network management systems and the implementation of any subsequent and future releases. Location of work is Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities:
Perform support to fielding installation with regard to network integration with the base LAN; configuration and tuning the Flexpod Data Center, network configuration changes, troubleshooting issues, and migrating old VMware to new versions. Other functions include the familiarization with Data link architectures and connectivity requirements; support major upgrade projects, developing solutions to technical issues, working with appropriate personnel to resolve any fielding related discrepancy reports. Provide technical support with routing and network connectivity. Completion of all applicable Periodic Maintenance Updates (PMU), Fast Tracks (FT), and Out Of Cycles (OOC) by applicable deadlines. Attend site and SPO fielding meetings, as applicable and Track lessons learned and metrics. Position may require weekend and/or overtime.

Required Skills:

Existing Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

At least 6 years of applicable experience including experience with and/or knowledge of:

In-depth knowledge of the following:
•CISCO IOS, NX-OS
•McAfee Sidewinder Firewall Enterprise
•Network design and configuration
•Must be willing and able to travel when required
•Willing to work up to 12 hours a day


Requires proven ability in any of the following:
· Networking/Infrastructure – 6+ years network administration



Desired Skills:

•Experience with or knowledge of AOC WS operations and VMware highly preferred
•Experience with CISCO Unified Computing Solution(UCS)
•Experience with NetApp
•Experience with Fiber Channel
•Experience with VMware
•Experience with NetApp Data ONTAP
•Experience with Secure Access Control System (ACS)
•Experience with remote configuration management tools
•Must possess a proven ability to work independently, collaboratively and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment as well as strong customer support skills and strong attention to detail



Certifications:
· Security+ - DoD 8570 certification
· One of the following certifications or higher is preferred but not required: CCNA Router and Switch, CCNA Data Center or CCNA Security

Must have the ability to get a US Passport (for OCONUS assignments)

Required Education (including Major): BS with Computer or Systems Engineering related major and 6 years of relevant experience OR 4 years with a MS/MA OR 14 years of equivalent military and/or civilian experience in lieu of a degree.
