Raytheon is seeking Software Architects for the GPS-OCX Program. The Architects will have responsibility for the Enterprise Infrastructure Systems (EIS) of the GPS OCX Simulated Master Control System (SMCS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) or will have general architectural responsibilities across all mission software with the program.

The Global Positioning System Advanced Control Segment (GPS OCX) Raytheon team is responsible for full life cycle engineering on state of the art environmental, commercial, and sensing systems for government and commercial applications. The GPS OCX Architects are a crucial position and play a key role in the success of the GPS OCX program.

The EIS Architect will:
• Approve EIS peer review artifacts
• Ensure compliance with program work instructions, standards and directives documentation
• Raise concerns and issues to the program Chief Architect
• Attend EIS technical meetings/reviews (e.g., pre-review meetings)
• Champion EIS Change Requests (CRs) thru the system board
• Work with CI System Engineers to understand SE artifacts
• Lead EIS Software Integration Checkout (SWIC) activity
• Evaluate Technical Reviews (TRs) for EIS impacts
• Raytheon technical oversight for CMF, SOM & SEC CIs
• Ability to understand the interfaces between the EIS CIs and other CIs

The General Architect will:
• Approve all peer review artifacts
• Ensure compliance with program work instructions, standards and directives documentation
• Raise concerns and issues to the program Chief Architect
• Attend technical meetings/reviews (e.g., pre-review meetings)
• Champion Change Requests (CRs) thru the system board
• Work with CI System Engineers to understand SE artifacts
• Lead Software Integration Checkout (SWIC) activity
• Evaluate Technical Reviews (TRs) for cross mission software component impacts
• Raytheon technical oversight for all CIs
• Ability to understand the interfaces between the CIs


Required Skills:
•10+ years hands on experience in software development
• Software Architecture experience on large government development contracts
• Knowledge of software engineering lifecycle functions
• Knowledge of related engineering disciplines - systems, hardware, integration, and test
• Demonstrated ability to quickly come up to speed on technical and management efforts
• Demonstrated self-starter proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action
· Demonstrated capability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment which will require the ability to change work focus rapidly
· Thorough understanding of program, system and CI requirements
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
• Possible travel

Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with all levels of the organization
• Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems for ground station operations
• Experience with satellite command, control, and communications development
• Experience with telecommunications contracts and co-location service agreements
• Experience with creating and managing technical baselines of specifications, interfaces, designs and engineering drawings
• Experience in preparing proposals, estimates and technical documents
• Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings
• Familiarity with organizations operating at or above CMMI Level 3

Education: BS/BA in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent experience
