Job Description

Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems - Electronic Warfare (EW) - SEIT has an immediate opportunity for a System Software Integration & Test Engineer committed and passionate about creating innovative and cost-effective EW Systems Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions. This position can be filled at either Pt Mugu or Goleta locations.

The Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) EW organization is accountable for IV&V test designs, and develops unique solutions for assessing EW system performance. It performs test definition, design, development, integration and build of EW equipment and related Test and Evaluation Strategies, including and the corresponding planning and execution of detailed IV&V plans for Raytheon’s SAS business unit. SVC EW solutions can include models, simulations and special test equipment designed specifically to stimulate, interrogate and instrument our EW Systems.

The System Software Integration & Test Engineer will participate in the conduct of an Integrated Systems IV&V Program:
• Verify software requirements that require test or demonstration as the verification method.
• The software tests will address function and performance at the Aircraft / Air Vehicle systems level.
• Interfaces to the host vehicle will be simulated as necessary.
• Product level tests that are covered in other test plans and procedures in this contract need not be repeated in the Integrated Systems Test plans and procedures.

Required Skills
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience including EW/Radar Software Integration & Test (I&T).
• Experience integrating EW/Radar software or systems-oriented products.
• Experience with software test equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
• Demonstrated completion of assigned tasks on time and on budget, and completed work products are of high quality.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Demonstrated work is performed without appreciable direction.
• Experience in representing the organization as a technical contact on I&T projects.
• Experience using robust design principles that the IPT’s system meets or exceeds its engineering targets.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active (or active within past 2 years) DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills
• Demonstrated experience in Radar/EW software test execution and the use of test performance metrics.
• Experience with Radar/EW technology development, product strategies and innovation capability.
• Experience with supporting proposals and Business Decision Gates to ensure technical and execution feasibility.
• Experience with software test document preparation and/or revision.
• Experience with Radar/EW Special Test Equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Project scheduling activities.
• Experience with security requirements related to government testing.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

Desired Education: Master’s Degree in a related field

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
