UAS Mission Systems Instructor

Job Description:

Performs as Mission Systems Instructor to train Army personnel in the skills necessary to transport, offload, assemble/emplace, prepare for operations, dissemble/displace and load for transport Shadow Unmanned Aircraft Systems by utilizing various forums, such as formal classroom training, flight simulators, course facilitation, on-line facilitation, CBTs, web-based instruction, workshops, exercises and seminars. Assesses designs and conceptualizes training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, aids, curriculums and other state of the art technologies related to training. Identifies the best approaches to training to include, but not limited to course assessment,examinations, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive training and testing,performance-based assessment and performance, and team and unit assessment and measurement. Develops and maintains knowledge bases, conducts applied and advanced research methodologies, prepares all training material such as, but not limited to, course outlines, course manuals, lesson plans, exams, background materials, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, course assessment forms, study guides, and training aids. Maintains currency in the area of expertise and is expected to function as an expert in the specialty field.

Required Skills:

  • Shall posses a minimum of 4 years experience in UAS
  • Shall have honorably served in the military in an Army MOS of 15W, 15E or equivalent or may also have honorably served in comparable career paths in other military service branches of DoD elements in the Aviation Community or UAS Civilian Industry with formal proponent certification in Mission Systems Training.
  • Shall successively graduate from the Mission Systems Course, CFDP-IC (ABIC) and SCTC.
  • Must be able to Obtain and Maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Required Education:
BS/BA or an additional related work experience and/or certifications within field may be considered in lieu of formal education
