Job Description

The RMS Advanced Manufacturing Systems team is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative team member for factory automation software development.
This position will be responsible for configuring and programming automation and control systems, utilizing various third party APIs to create new device drivers, as well as learning, supporting and enhancing Raytheon’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) suite of software using National Instruments TestStand. The candidate will work as part of an integrated development team as well as with factory support across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in programming ability, be a self-starter, have an engineering mindset and the ability to provide troubleshooting support. This position requires some travel (~10%) and some off-hours work to support factory deployments. Achieving the NI LabVIEW CLAD certification is expected within the first 6 months in this position.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.


Note: This position can be for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer I or Manufacturing Systems Engineer II based upon the applicant’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements of the position.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or other object oriented languages
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
  • NI LabVIEW CLAD Certification
  • Controls system design experience
  • Cumulative/overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

Required Education:

This position requires a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree from an accredited engineering curriculum in a field such as Systems Engineering, Engineering, Science, or related field.

The Job Title for a Master of Science degree is Manufacturing Systems Engineer II.
