Job Description:
Raytheon is seeking a senior systems engineer with expertise in the development, integration, deployment, operations and training of communications and sensor system hardware and software on Manned and Unmanned Aerial Systems, Ground and Surface platforms, and/or Operations Centers. The ideal candidate will have theoretical and operational knowledge of RF communications systems, EO/IR sensor systems, SIGINIT systems and wired and wireless networking. The candidate will have experience leading an integration effort with a team of internal and external/subcontract team members from concept development through field deployment of a multi-mission Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance system. The engineer will work in a fast paced, small team environment and will lead laboratory system integration and test and CONUS and OCONUS deployment and operator training.

Responsibilities and scope also include:
• Support the Business Development Team by providing briefings of products and solutions to the customer, interpreting their requirements and developing solutions
• Communicate and coordinate with the back office to ensure that customer requirements are properly captured
• Work with Chief Engineer on the development of technical solution through the mandated processes
• Coordinate closely with the Chief Engineer and Program Engineer
• Provide team technical leadership and coordination
• Responsible for the planning, scheduling and executing program readiness and design reviews
• Attend technical and programmatic meetings with customers, system users, development team members and represent the organization in matters pertaining to the project
• Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a fast-paced, highly visible setting working in dynamic environments requiring ability to assess and prioritize tasks, managing time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
• Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with limited oversight

Required Skills:
• At least 8 years’ experience on several of the following domains:
-Tactical radio experience (military or engineering) with various manufacturers radio platforms and waveforms (e.g., Raytheon EPLRS/WIPN, Harris ANW2)
-Understanding of operations and interfaces of Electro-Optical / Infra-Red (EO/IR) sensors and related management application software
-Employing SIGINT sensors on mobile platforms and performing networking integration for delivery of sensor data to remote users
-Working knowledge of wired and wireless network planning, implementation and management
-Working knowledge of wired and wireless network security protocols and vulnerability analysis
-Digital voice encoding algorithms and strategies
-Military messaging protocols (Variable Message Format, Cursor on Target, etc.) and translations between protocols
-RF knowledge (link budgets, resonance, wave propagation, antenna design, etc.)
-Management of component building to include quality control
-System Operations Center experience
-Demonstrated mechanical ability (experience with equip. installations in lab and field, RF and computer systems, deploying payloads on platforms, etc.)
-Test Engineering Experience with testing equipment and applications (e.g., Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, jperf, WireShark, etc.)
• Ability to travel at short notice (CONUS / OCONUS)
• Strong written and oral communications capabilities

Desired:
• Knowledge of and experience in data fusion technologies with ISR sensor products
• Knowledge of and experience in network engineering:
-Network transport and internet routing protocols
-Troubleshooting ability; hardware, software, and networking
-Knowledge of software deployment and configuration/management (Linux shell, Windows command line, ability to alter config files)
• Training and/or training material dev
-Developing materials and training of operational users
-Developing training materials and schedules (tasks, conditions, standards)
• Ability to quickly build rapport with teammates and customers
• Ability to anticipate customer needs; technical and operational
• Language capabilities (Spanish and/or Arabic)
• Entrepreneur; strong sense for business development, seeks new projects, customers, and markets

Clearance Type:
TS/SCI preferred, Secret minimum

Required Education:
B.S./B.A. or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math and 8 years relevant work experience.
