Job Description: 794-SCR BMDS Systems Engineer needed in Huntsville, AL.

The Systems Concepts and Requirements IPT of the National Team is seeking individuals who are creative and think-out-of-the-box to support end-to-end functional and behavior analysis for the defeat of conventional and advanced Threat systems within the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) mission area and to expand concepts and capabilities for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).

Perform functional analysis of the BMDS utilizing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools to support development of system engineering products for MDA.
Work within a cross-discipline product team with other subject matter experts to analyze this mission space and formulate functional requirements for system-of-system level specifications.
Interface with other National Team groups, technical leaders, and government personnel performing analysis tasks.
Document analysis results in reports and briefings for critique and review by SC&R and National Team stakeholders.
May lead to assignment in more senior roles.



Required Skills:

6 years experience in requirements development to include use of DOORS and a requirements modeling tool such as “System Architect,” “Rhapsody,” “Magic Draw” or similar tools.
Proven knowledge of one-or-more BMDS or similar domains: EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.).
Excellent critical thinking and capture concepts in papers, presentations, and discussions.
Excellent communication skills and must work both independently and within a small team environment.
Active Secret security clearance.


Desired Skills:

Systems engineering experience generating system-of-system level specification requirements and interface documents. Experience in writing interface control documents.
Proven experience preparing, organizing, and presenting briefings/demonstrations to senior Government Customer and Industry leadership

Master’s or PhD

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, mathematics or physics.
