Job Description

Location: El Segundo California Security Clearance: Secret - Current Job Description: Candidate will serve as a senior software project lead (SPL) of software development, software integration, and software testing phases of various programs. Candidate is required to lead software engineering teams of up to 10 engineers on multiple programs which signal processing and command and control software is required. Candidate must have strong Lean and Agile Scrum development skills and experience. Candidate should have a strong technical background to understand the complexities of the system in order to directly contribute to the testing of the system as well as lead the development efforts.

Candidate will expand and influence program development by working closely with the other senior technical leaders to set future technology and process direction for the program. Candidate must have strong understanding of how to develop software requirements and how to test these requirements. Candidate must be able to produce program documents required by the customer and be able to make presentations to customers on status and technology of the product.

Candidate will provide Software Engineering technical leadership for the software programs along with derivative applications as the technology moves into future. The complexity of these programs is driven by the number and type of developments currently supported within the RF Products and Technologies Department product lines. Candidate will also represent Raytheon technical capabilities at various Customer and Raytheon sites. The products he/she will be expected to support include software developed on Linux RTOS environment as well as diagnostic, analysis, and support application software. The technologies and development tools required to support these systems are in themselves highly complex in nature. Candidate is expected to work with program management, cross functional managers, senior engineers to ensure the success of the program. Candidate may be involved in contributing to product functional tests and customer sell off events. Candidate need to work with configuration management and software quality engineers.

**U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.**

Required Skills:
•10+ years of related work experience, including 4+ years of RTOS development or similar experience
•Proven experience with agile SCRUM software development methodologies leading small to medium sized teams of software engineers in defense programs
•Strong organizational skills and ability to motivate a team
•Proven experience spanning software architecture, design, implementation, testing, and system integration
•Familiar with EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
•Have experience working with IMS (Integrated Master Schedule)
•Hardware/software integration experience
•US Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems
•Have an Active DOD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills:
•Experience with Software Architecture, signal processing, or related engineering activities
•Experience with developing and integrating tactical electronic warfare software
•Experience with Radar Warning Receiver, radar, jammer systems and/or their simulation tools
•Experience with Lean and Agile Scrum development process
•Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle
•Experience in leading technical teams and mentoring

Required Education: (This is the minimum level of education or degree and major required for the position.)
Minimum Bachelors of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
