This opening is for a Senior Electrical Engineer in El Segundo, CA. This position is in the Microelectronic Circuits Department of the Electronics Center within Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business. The person hired will be responsible for ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of analog, mixed-signal, and system-on-Chip integrated circuits for space and airborne systems. The work is focused on CMOS, BiCMOS, and SiGe IC design and fabrication technologies and processes. At this level of responsibility, one is expected to be an advocate for rigorous and systematic design processes and for helping others to understand and follow the company's documented engineering processes, for mentoring less experienced engineers, and taking leadership roles on projects including responsibility for schedules, budgets, and design oversight. Required Skills:

  • Product design, analysis, and test of Analog, Mixed Signal, System-on-chip Integrated Circuits for Space & Airborne Systems as evidenced by at least 6+ years experience in one or more of these areas.
  • Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects.
  • Work with department leadership team to develop and manage technology roadmaps in support of future technologies and IR&D. Provide technical, cost, and schedule data in support of proposals.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.


Desired Skills:

  • Product design, analysis, and test of Analog, Mixed Signal, System-on-chip Integrated Circuits for Space & Airborne Systems as evidenced by at least 5+ years experience in one or more of these areas.
  • Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects.
  • Work with department leadership team to develop and manage technology roadmaps in support of future technologies and IR&D. Provide technical, cost, and schedule data in support of proposals.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at a time


Education:

  • Minimum Degree BSEE or similar technical degree required; MS/PHD preferred
