Job Description

Location: Woburn Massachusetts Security Clearance: Secret Raytheon’s Mission Systems & Sensors (MSS) Business Area is looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in a position as a Principal Technical Planner. The successful candidate will support multiple programs and work with all levels of management, partnering with various functions (finance, engineering, contracts, deployment, program office, and Customer) to ensure that the program is performed within contractual agreed-upon parameters. Additionally, the successful candidate will also provide direction and process guidance to other planners on the programs and be responsible for working closely with the Program Office and Customer to provide schedule scenarios and insight in support of contract reviews and negotiations.

Responsibilities will include supporting development, maintenance, and analysis of the programs’ Master Phasing Schedule, Integrated Master Plan, and Integrated Master Schedule; leading the planning, scheduling, and cost estimating tasks, and support Risk and Opportunity development mitigation. This position will be responsible for providing support to EVMS compliance, IMS assessments, Joint Surveillance Review (JSR) support, interfacing with DCMA as needed, and partnering with the business area Finance team on the EVMS implementation.

This position will be located in Woburn, MA.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of Six (6) years of Program Planning & Scheduling experience
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Project experience, including Microsoft Project Server
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite products

Desired Skills:

  • Eight (8) plus years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Familiarity with any of the following: Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect
  • Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) Specialist or similar certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
  • Demonstrated experience with Cost Estimating/BOE Generation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI)

Required Education:

Bachelor Degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems or other engineering discipline or science related major
