Location: Olathe Kansas Security Clearance: Secret - Current

Audio/Visual Technicians to support exercise development and execution
Operates a variety of audio, standard and special purpose still, motion picture, and/or video cameras. Edits materials to capture designated MCTP activities for inclusion in AAR and take home packages. Installs and operates VTC equipment. Operates and troubleshoots Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom and other platforms required for AAR production. Required: Secret security clearance. Minimum of five years of related experience in support and troubleshooting of videoconferencing and audiovisual technology. Extensive knowledge with demonstrated experience in Webcasting and Streaming Video systems using today's latest technology. Experience working in a dynamic environment and producing quality work to demanding timescales. Strong knowledge with demonstrated experience using VTC Codec's, VTC Enterprise components, Video Streaming appliances. Experience working with and troubleshooting Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom products required for AAR production. Ability to produce and package reports and other materials onto digital media for distribution. Demonstrated familiarity with all new current Army and Joint regulations and publications prior to employment. Proficient in Microsoft office. High School diploma or equivalent.

Primary duty location is Fort Leavenworth, KS, but may have to complete limited travel to include exercise support to satellite locations in CONUS and OCONUS as directed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for production of specialty scenario stimulus for MCTP exercises that achieves desired unit training objectives. Responsible for the planning and execution of modeled actions and effects within their area of expertise within the exercise simulation environment. Coordinates and integrates replicated stimulus of the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational Unified Action Partners, Cyber-Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), Civil Affairs and Information Operations support for the exercise to meet operational training guidance and training objectives. Produces planning products and scenario vignette implementers within their area of expertise. Develop effects based on unit training objectives and unit planning and actions during the Warfighter exercise (WFX). Perform other related work as directed.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of five years of related experience in support and troubleshooting of videoconferencing and audiovisual technology.
  • Extensive knowledge with demonstrated experience in Webcasting and Streaming Video systems using today's latest technology.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and producing quality work to demanding timescales.
  • Strong knowledge with demonstrated experience using VTC Codec's, VTC Enterprise components, Video Streaming appliances. Experience working with and troubleshooting Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom products required for AAR production
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to starting
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, Word, and PowerPoint software.



Desired Skills:
  • Desired: Retired LTC or above.
  • Successfully served on Division or Corps level staff positions within their functional area or branch. Prior experience with the hybrid threat.
  • Assignment history with battalion staff, or higher headquarters.
  • Two years’ experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large scale computer simulation exercises.
  • 6 years military experience or experience supporting US Army training and exercise programs.
  • Experience in obtaining work permits for OCONUS training locations (specifically, but not limited to) the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Germany.
