Job Description

Location: Andover Massachusetts Security Clearance: Confidential Raytheon IDS has an opportunity for an energetic and motivated senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to champion compliance, risk reduction, and employee engagement at our Andover site. Leverage your strong technical, strategic, organizational, and communications skills to build and sustain an EHS culture that promotes a safe and healthy work environment and strives for EHS excellence. In this role, you will manage several EHS support staff and report to the Andover EHS Manager.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing safety and industrial hygiene programs, maintaining compliance, and ensuring audit readiness
  • Spearheading the risk management process to systematically identify hazards, assess risks, and drive execution of corrective actions
  • Conducting audits of operational areas, reporting findings with recommendations for improvement, and driving implementation of corrective and preventative actions to maintain compliance across all EHS requirements
  • Leading the change control process to minimize risk for new equipment and processes
  • Working collaboratively across functions to foster an effective safety and environmentally conscious culture
  • Establishing and supporting site objectives and long-range goals
  • Tracking, trending, and reporting EHS metrics
  • Collaborating with our unions to foster employee engagement
  • Managing and mentoring EHS staff
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or similar work environment
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience
  • Project Management skills
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired Skills:
  • Previous experience in a union work environment
  • Experience with EHSS management systems
  • Expert knowledge of EHS regulations
  • CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent certification
  • OSHA Special Government Employee (SGE)
  • MS/MA in related field
